Merging the best of analog and digital worlds, the WesAudio ngLEVELER is a 16-channel Next Generation analog automation system that provides tracking and mixing engineers with multichannel analog level control and the powerful luxury of digital total recall, for a truly special hybrid setup. On the analog side, it provides immense headroom (+25 dBu in and +28 dBu out), DB25 balanced line-level I/O, and selectable THD coloration intensity for big tone that’ll help you get professional sonic impact. Plus, the ngLEVELER only occupies 1 RU of rack space, so it is unobtrusive and space-efficient.
When it comes to the digital integration, ngLEVELER is high-tech with USB and Ethernet connectivity and plug-in control. Its dedicated plug-in allows access to a host of in-demand functions, such as multiple channel linking options, solo, mute, pad, channel names, grouping, and trim mode. Use a HUI controller to make automation moves in real time or draw automation in your DAW and ngLEVELER will react accordingly.
Analog Automation, Digital Control
ngLEVELER is an analog automation system with convenient features for better studio integration. Besides its automation engine, it also brings analog saturation per channel, to help tracks get more presence in the mix. ngLEVELER doesn’t have any controls, it is either manageable via a DAW plug-in, a HUI controller, or both. This approach gives convenient fader control with true total recall via a DAW plug-in.
Dedicated Plug-In Control
The dedicated plug-in provides access to a host of functions that would commonly be found on an advanced mixer.
- Multiple linking options
- THD coloration mode
- I/O metering
- Solo and mute
- Solo safe
- Faders
- Channel names
- Trim / level value
- Group
- Pad
Trim Mode
Trim mode allows you to change the level of each channel on top of existing faders. Trim faders also work in very high resolution because operate in a limited scale from -10 to +5 dB.
Channel Groups
Assign each channel to one of four groups, which technically link all parameters in a particular group. You can even select which parameters will be linked in the group.
HUI Control
ngLEVELER is fully compatible with HUI, so most of its functions are manageable directly from a HUI controller. To do so, it is enough to connect your HUI controller to a Mac/Windows computer where ngLEVELER is available (so it is either connected to same machine via USB or on the same network when the Ethernet connection is used).
THD
THD stands for “total harmonic distortion” and it allows you to saturate your signal with beautiful analog color with two different intensity levels.
Analog Automation
It’s very common to want different device settings based on song sections. Now it is possible; just draw automation lines in your DAW and the ngLEVELER analog device will follow. And remember, you can use a HUI controller to record automation to your DAW.
