Yamaha NS-800A Overview
Tonal balance between vocals and instruments, accurate music reproduction, and a lifelike sound image are all hallmarks of the Yamaha NS-800A 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker in piano black. To achieve such clarity from the NS-800A’s 6 1/2″ cone woofer and 1 1/4″ dome tweeter’s 40W RMS output, Yamaha incorporated many technologies that mainly focus on vibration reduction. From using laser vibrometers and FEM analysis in its construction to components like the Harmonious Diaphragm, acoustic absorber, and R.S. chamber as well as electronics that include MCap SUPREME Classic audio capacitors made by Mundorf of Germany.
High-Quality Components Yamaha incorporated the following technologies to ensure that your music is reproduced accurately, with vocals and instruments at the right pitch, and a bass response that’s deep and clear.
- Harmonious diaphragm: made from Zylon, spruce, and other materials, this diaphragm helps to ensure tonal balance
- Acoustic absorber: designed to eliminate the standing waves with minimal absorption of the music itself
- R.S. (Resonance Suppression) chamber: mounted on the back of the tweeter, two specially shaped tubes cancel unwanted resonance to display fine nuances in your music.
- Twisted flare port: a gentle twist is built into the port in order to reduce air flow noise for a clearer and tighter bass
- Solid brass terminals: this helps to achieve a secure speaker wire connection with a clean signal transmission
